Quite frankly, though, he just did not want to and said that those bills would cost him “a big chunk of the profit.” Plus, he reiterated to his wife that his tenant’s situation is not his responsibility.
“This is the risk people take when they rent,” he vented.
Nonetheless, his wife has been giving him the cold shoulder ever since he put his foot down on that. So now, he has been left wondering if selling his house instead of renewing the lease of a family with a terminally ill child makes him a real jerk or not.
If you got an offer from a realtor like that, would you want to sell your property, too? At the same time, do you think he is being greedy by refusing to pay for a moving company or Airbnb– especially because he inherited this home in the first place?
