Her Bridesmaid Tried To Walk Down The Aisle In The Wrong-Colored Dress And Refused To Change, So She Kicked Her Bridesmaid Out And Is Now Dealing With The Rest Of Her Bridal Party, Who Thinks She Was Too Harsh

This twenty-three-year-old woman’s wedding was on Saturday, December 31. And since it was frigid where she lived, she decided to have a winter-themed wedding.
Her color scheme was forest green and gold– with the bridesmaids wearing forest green dresses. Her maid of honor’s dress was black, her dress was white, and all of the other guests were instructed to wear gold accessories.
Now, she did have one friend named Kat, who she asked to be a bridesmaid. But, from the start, it appeared that her friend was going to make the event a bit difficult.
Apparently, it all began when they went dress shopping, and she informed her bridal party of the color scheme she had chosen.
Rather than being excited, though, Kat “immediately” told her that forest green would be a bad choice.
Her friend claimed that it just was not a flattering color. Moreover, Kat told her she should pick out something that was “more girly.”
Quite frankly, though, she told Kat no. After all, her wedding was winter-themed, and she thought that forest green went perfectly with her vision.
Still, Kat did not lay off and kept pushing her to pick a different color.
“Kat suggested pink, blue, and even red. I said no, but thanks for your opinion,” she recalled.

Then, her friend found out that her maid of honor’s dress was black. So, she was asked if Kat could wear black, too, and she had to turn her friend down yet again.
Anyway, she ended up paying for all of her bridesmaids’ dresses– which were purchased in her intended forest green color.
Then, fast forward to the wedding day; all of the girls were getting their hair and makeup done when Kat showed up thirty minutes late.
Plus, in her friend’s hand, there was a bag that looked like it had another dress inside.
And as you can imagine, she was immediately confused and asked Kat was the bag was for. Well, Kat claimed that the dress was for later on at the reception– just in case her friend became uncomfortable and wanted to change after the pictures.
She was totally fine with that, too. But, if you could not have guessed, Kat was never actually telling the truth.
Instead, after she and all of the bridesmaids were dressed and walking down the stairs before the ceremony, Kat was the last person to walk down. And with only thirty minutes left until the event began, she realized that Kat was wearing a black dress!
Well, she was actually preoccupied at the time because she was taking photos with her parents. Thankfully, though, her maid of honor saw what Kat was wearing and informed her of the situation.
Anyway, she ended up confronting Kat and asking her what was going on. Then, her friend went on a rant about how much she hated the bridesmaid dress since the color was ugly and made her look gross. Finally, Kat just demanded that she wear black during the ceremony.
Now, she tried to stay calm and asked her friend to please go back inside and change. After Kat refused and started walking away from her, though, she was forced to give her friend an ultimatum.
“I said I was going to ask her one more time, and if she did not oblige, I would call security and kick her out,” she recalled.
Well, that pushed Kat to freak the heck out. Her friend began screaming and cursing at her, so she was forced to call security and have them escort Kat outside.
Plus, the entire time, Kat made a huge scene. She got called a horrible and inconsiderate friend for trying to force Kat to wear the dress.
Obviously, that was jarring, but the wedding carried on without a hitch, and she claims it was “truly amazing.”
Ever since her wedding day, though, Kat has not stopped harassing her about what happened. In fact, her phone has apparently been blowing up with loads of nasty texts. Her friend has even demanded that she provide money for the black dress since it was a “waste,” and Kat did not get to wear it.
So, she was actually forced to block Kat’s number. But that prompted some pushback from her other bridesmaids.
In fact, they have accused her of being too harsh for kicking Kat out on the spot and embarrassing her friend like that. Plus, they believe that she actually should give Kat her dress money back.
So now, with some of her bridesmaids taking Kat’s side, she has been left wondering if kicking Kat out for showing up in the wrong dress was actually a jerky thing to do.
Do you think that she embarrassed Kat, or did Kat embarrass herself by blatantly wearing the wrong dress on purpose? Do you believe that Kat figured she would get away with it? If you had been in the bride’s shoes, how would you have handled this situation? Did Kat deserve to get kicked out?
