So, after she and her partner went to his parent’s house to see them and his sisters recently, this ultimately started a major fight.
It all began after the whole group sat down and started discussing a topic. More specifically, one that she is fairly comfortable talking about.
But, according to her, her partner’s father started the “inevitable” questioning of her knowledge on the subject. Still, she remained calm and just told him that, yes, she knew much about the subject at hand.
However, she claims that was not enough. So, yet again, she was lectured in a “friendly manner.” Her partner also had to join in, and it quickly turned into a competition of who could get more words in.
“They were both pitching me the whole subject, basically talking over each other to add as many details as possible,” she explained.
Eventually, though, she started to get really fed up and decided to play right into the game.
More specifically, throughout the conversation, she started to exclaim statements such as “Wow!” “That’s cool,” “No, really?” and. “Oh, I had no idea!” She claims that this basically made her turn into a “caricature of a nosey four-year-old,” but hey, it worked– because everyone in the room was left downright confused.
Soon afterward, her partner even tried to catch her in a lie– claiming, “I thought you said you knew this.”
Then, she was able to hit him and his father with the clap back of the century.
“Oh, I do. But you both decided to ignore it, so I thought I should do the same,” she responded. Yikes!
Everyone at her partner’s parents’ house went quiet after that. Then, her partner and his father got really upset– accusing her of being incredibly rude and embarrassing them in front of the rest of their family.
