Her Sisters Have Always Made Mean Remarks About Her Body, So That’s Her Reason For Losing Weight, But Her Mom Thinks She’s Just Blaming Them For Her Insecurities

She’s been putting a lot of time into her hair and makeup, but her sisters didn’t pick up on her self-improvement journey at all.

It was only when she began to lose weight that her sister took note of what she was doing.

To be honest, she’s currently counting her calories and has since lost about 6 or 7 pounds since the beginning of January.

Yesterday evening, she had dinner with her family, and she declined another helping of pasta as she didn’t want to consume so many calories.

Her mom noticed and then pointed out that she has been shedding some pounds before questioning her about why she needs to change herself.

She didn’t lie to her mom and reminded her that her sisters had described her as heavy, so that was her reason for doing something about her weight.

“I said that it really got to me, and I wanted to make sure I really liked myself before I get to drama school so that I’m not battling as much insecurity while I’m there,” she said.

Well, the dinner table fell silent, and then her oldest sister got up from the table and walked off, refusing to speak to her.

A few hours later, her mom asked to speak to her in private and insisted that she couldn’t hold her sisters accountable for any of her insecurities.

“She said it had really hurt my sisters, particularly my older sister, that I had made them feel “guilty” about my choice to lose weight, and even if I’m losing weight because of their comments, I should keep that to myself,” she continued.

“My other two sisters have since told me that making my weight loss about them was inappropriate and asked me to apologize for “putting that on them,” because even if they did comment on my weight, they’ve never told me I should lose any, so I have no right to try and make it their responsibility.”
