Pretty recently, Anna found herself diagnosed with a neurological disease, and Anna has since asked his grandparents if they can step in to raise her daughters when she passes away.
Anna has no family and no friends, and his grandparents were kind of her only hope. Anna also does not know who the fathers of her children are.
His grandparents replied back to Anna that they don’t want to raise her girls because they have never had a relationship with the girls at all.
After his grandparents turned Anna down, she managed to find him on social media, where she sent him a message saying she had to speak to him about an important matter.
“She explained to me that she’s sick, and I could see it in the way she was walking and talking, and she knows the girls are too young to survive when she gets worse, and she wants better for them,” he said.
“She said after years of being their brother and of living with them, she wanted me to take her girls and raise them and let them visit her, but once she’s gone, to be the family they don’t have otherwise.”
“I was shocked…if I’m honest, because Anna was asking for something huge for me for people who were essentially strangers. We were never a family, but she was acting like we had been at some point. She saw how I was reacting and said my dad would have wanted me to do this and to think about how I lost my mom and dad and how I should consider her girls.”
Anna simply infuriated him with how she handled the situation. He informed her that he wanted nothing to do with her kids before walking right off.
As he walked away, Anna called him a mean name before saying it will be his fault when her girls end up in foster care moving from home to home.
He’s left wondering if it was wrong of him to tell Anna he’s not going to take in her girls.
