Now, both of his stepdaughters looked pretty upset. But they never said anything directly to him about it.
It appears that they did call their mom– his wife– though because after he got back to his own hotel room, his wife was awake. Moreover, she was pissed.
He and his wife ultimately got into an argument about him deciding to get Shiloh her own room. And he claims that he tried to explain what his stepdaughters were doing to her.
But, his wife seemingly did not care and accused him of wasting money. She also said that Shiloh could have “sucked it up for one night” and slept on the floor.
He could not believe what his wife was saying, though, and called her unreasonable. Still, his wife stuck to her guns.
“She told me I showed the girls that I am ‘playing favorites’ and made my stepdaughters share a room while I gave my daughter an entire room for herself,” he vented.
Plus, ever since traveling home from his dad’s funeral, his wife has continued bringing up the incident and accusing him of mishandling the situation. She even pointed out how his stepdaughters are still upset since they have refused to speak to him.
So now, he has been left wondering if getting his daughter a hotel room by herself after her stepsisters made her sleep on the floor was the right thing to do or if it made him a jerk.
Why do you think his stepdaughters tried to exclude his daughter? Should Shiloh have been forced to “suck it up?” Or did he do the right thing by showing his stepdaughters that bullying would not be tolerated? If you had been in his shoes, how would you have handled this situation?
