The decision was not just for herself, either. Despite her eldest son trying to remain strong for his younger siblings, he has still been battling a lot of anger and grief himself.
So, she believed that having the mistress there would only cause more problems on an already horrible day.
Lo and behold, though, it appears that her late husband’s mistress decided to completely disregard her wishes and show up anyway. In fact, upon arriving at the graveyard, the other woman was already there!
Now, she did claim that the other woman was standing some distance away rather than right next to her family.
“But [the mistress] was still close enough to everyone to just make her stand out as if she wanted to be seen,” she added.
So, at that point, she informed her brother that the mistress was there, and thankfully, he was able to remove the other woman without causing too much of a scene.
Still, right afterward, she reportedly received a text from the mistress and actually got accused of being selfish for trying to block her from the funeral.
Moreover, the other woman claimed she was “robbed” of the chance to say goodbye properly.
So, ever since then, she has been feeling slightly bothered by the messages. She claims that she has found herself justifying her actions numerous times since the day of her late husband’s funeral. Plus, she honestly believes that she did what was right and put her children first.
“[The mistress] had no business there, and her presence would only cause drama,” she added.
On top of that, she believes that the other woman could always go to her late husband’s grave to say a private goodbye if she really wants to.
