Anyway, once she was alone with her husband later on, she decided to tell him what Jake had said. More specifically, she revealed how Jake basically told her that she was too ugly for her husband. It is important to note, though, that before she told her husband anything, she made him promise not to say anything to Jake.
“I did go into more detail about the conversation, too, and my husband did not seem that upset before we went to bed,” she recalled.
In fact, her husband even made a joke and asked if she was just trying to fish for compliments. Anyway, that’s why she did not think her husband was going to say anything to Jake about the comments. But, it turned out that her assumption was entirely wrong.
During their next “boy’s night,” her husband actually blew up on Jake. Now, she does not know exactly what was said. However, it was apparently pretty bad, and her husband was furious at Jake for calling her ugly.
Still, Jake ultimately denied everything and is now even accusing her of trying to cause issues between him and her husband. She is also well aware that Jake has since been calling her vain and insecure to friends behind her back.
She has since tried to rehash the comments Jake made with her husband, too, in an effort to clarify exactly what happened.
“But it only makes him angrier at Jake every time I bring it up,” she vented.
So now, she has been left wondering whether spilling the beans and telling her husband about what Jake said was the wrong thing to do or not.
Why do you think Jake felt the need to much such rude comments? Did she have a right to tell her husband what his friend had said? Was it right for her husband to stick up for her? Should she feel guilty about the situation, or was it Jake’s fault?
