Thankfully, the sales associate who took her mother-in-law’s call realized that her mother-in-law’s phone number did not match the number on her wedding dress order. So, the associate called her immediately to inform her that her mother-in-law had tried to go behind her back.
And to say that she was furious would be an understatement. Her fiancé also happened to hear everything the sales associate told her, and he was livid, too.
So, her fiancé ultimately called his mom to confront her. And after her mother-in-law tried to deny everything a few times, she eventually confessed to the entire thing.
By that point, though, she was completely done with all of the drama and decided to put her foot down once and for all.
“I told my mother-in-law that if she’s so bothered by my dress, then to consider herself uninvited from the wedding. And I hung up on her,” she vented.
If you could not have guessed, though, his mother-in-law did not take that well and has since been blowing up her and her fiancé’s phones in an attempt to explain herself.
And while she does feel bad for her fiancé– because he will not get to have his mother-son dance– she has seriously had enough.
Still, in the wake of the incident, she has been left wondering whether uninviting her mother-in-law from her wedding was the wrong thing to do or not.
Can you believe her mother-in-law tried to go behind her back like that? Would you be furious if your mother-in-law did that? Did she have a right to uninvite her mother-in-law from the wedding? If you had been in her shoes, would you have done the same?
