The footage proved that she had really fallen, and afterward, her mother and aunt were really apologetic. Her fiancé was still pretty hurt by the fact they would ever think he was abusive, though.
Apparently, she has known her fiancé since childhood, and he has been a part of her family since they were teenagers. So, her sister suggesting he was abusive was utterly shocking for him.
Regardless, her sister has still never apologized for making that accusation and maintains that it was only out of concern. Quite frankly, though, she finds that ridiculous.
“I’ve pointed out the lack of logic, seeing as she left me in ‘an abusive situation,’ saying nothing for a month until we announced our engagement,” she explained.
Her family even agrees that her sister should apologize, too. But her sister refuses and just wants to move on from the situation. So, her family has claimed that even though her sister is wrong– and simply too proud to admit that– there is “no use in beating a dead horse.”
For her fiancé, though, it obviously is not that easy. He is not very close to his own family, and the fact he was called an abuser by his soon-to-be in-laws took a serious toll on his mental health.
So, while he still shows up to family gatherings for her sake, her fiancé has been pretty distant from her family ever since the incident with her sister.
For Mother’s Day recently, though, her fiancé did accompany her to her parent’s house to have dinner. And while there, her sister started making more insinuations. But this time, it was about one of their cousins apparently “copying” her sister’s hairstyle from years ago.
No one in her family remembered the hairstyle, though, which caused her sister to get pretty frustrated. Afterward, her fiancé muttered a comment under his breath.
“You know what they say: an elephant never forgets,” her fiancé said, referring to her sister’s weight.
According to her, the room immediately fell silent, and her sister started bawling before running out of the room in tears. Then, her entire family started berating her fiancé while she just sat there and sipped on her wine.
