Her 10-Year-Old Sister Stole And Destroyed $200 Worth Of Makeup, So She Wants Her Sister To Pay Her Back Using Her Birthday Money

So, her parents wound up grounding her little sister for a month– taking away her phone and all other electronics. Plus her parents also offered to pay her back for the makeup products.

Honestly, though, she doesn’t want her parents to reimburse her– she wants her sister to pay her back. After all, her sister stole and destroyed close to $200 worth of makeup and lied to her face about the whole thing. And she has only been living back at home for three weeks!

That’s why, with her little sister’s eleventh birthday coming up in two months, she’s not sure if she should make her sister use any gifted birthday money to pay her back.

On the one hand, she does feel like taking her sister’s birthday money might be cruel– mainly because that’s the only spending money her sister receives all year.

But, even though her parents suggested chores as punishment, she isn’t happy with that idea, either.

“What chores is she gonna do for me to pay me back? I do more chores than her, and I pay rent!” she vented.

So, now that her parents have left the decision up to her, she’s been left wondering whether making her little sister use birthday money to pay her back would be a jerky thing to do.

Do you think grounding her little sister is punishment enough? Or should her sister also have to pay her back for the makeup? If so, is forcing her sister to use her birthday money cruel or justified? Are there other ways her sister could earn money to pay her back?
