“I told her that girl is nothing to me but a girl I would rather forget and that she made her choices and to stop,” she revealed.
Her mom just kept trying to push her to RSVP, though, and she kept having to reiterate that her lack of a response to the invitation was enough of an answer– and her mom needed to accept that.
Nonetheless, her mom told her that since she was 18-years-old now, she needed to learn how to be more polite and RSVP. Her mom also told her to grow up.
After that, though, she honestly was done with the conversation and wound up hanging up the phone. Still, ever since their argument, she has started to get some random comments on her Instagram account– presumably from her mom’s fake accounts– accusing her of being mean.
So now, she has been left wondering whether not RSVP’ing to her stepsister’s graduation party actually made her a jerk or not.
Do you think not responding to an RSVP is enough of an answer in this situation? Did she have a right not to want to attend her stepsister’s graduation party? What would you have done?
