Although she realizes how serious food allergies are, she finds this unnecessary and over the top, especially because Kyle has never had an incident at their apartment in the past. Not to mention that he doesn’t live with them full-time.
“I’ve refused, and they’ve both pushed back a lot on it,” she explained.
Layla and Kyle started accusing her of being selfish and said that the things she keeps in the apartment, like a closed jar of nuts, could kill him. Their behavior eventually made her snap, and she had an outburst. She told them that she didn’t care about Kyle’s allergies.
“I can accommodate him to an extent, but I don’t care if the contents of my cabinet make him uncomfortable,” she explained.
“He doesn’t need to be near my things at all. I’m not going to have my diet restricted by someone who doesn’t even live here.”
Now, Layla isn’t speaking to her, and things have been really tense between the two of them. Although she’s still upset with her, she wants to resolve this issue since they’ve signed on to live with each other for another year.
