According to her, the accident kind of made sense to people– because many assumed that her sister and ex were likely arguing and not focusing on the road.
Regardless, the death of her sister and ex-fiancé left their child without parents. So, the kid was placed into foster care.
And even though her parents tried to take in their grandchild, they were denied on the grounds of mobility and overall health. Unfortunately, the child’s paternal relatives did not even try to get custody, either.
That’s why her parents have since turned to her– hoping she would take in her sister’s kid.
But right now, she is in a completely different phase of her life. She has gotten engaged to her new fiancé, Luke, and together, they even purchased their forever home last year.
So, she feels very happy and stable right now. Yet, that’s exactly why her parents think she is the right person to take in their grandchild.
Quite frankly, though, she told her parents point-blank that she was just not the right person to raise her late sister’s kid. She also apologized for that but claimed it was the end of the discussion.
But while her fiancé Luke stood by her decision, her parents still went behind her back and tried to convince Luke to side with them.
Thankfully, Luke did tell her right after her parents approached him. So, she was able to put her foot down and tell her parents to cut it out.
Still, though, they have not stopped begging her to reconsider– telling her to imagine how nice it would be to forge a relationship with the child and be there for them.
But, she stuck to her guns and told her parents that was not her job. She also told them to let it go one last time.
