But are they worth breaking your diet for? Especially with fast food prices seeing significant increases as of late, spending money at McDonald’s doesn’t seem as rewarding as it used to be.
TikToker Calvin (@cooklikeimbook) used to be a weight loss chef, and he’s sharing a healthier recipe for McChicken that he created himself.
“When I was a weight loss chef for two families, one of my former clients used to love McChickens, so this recipe was developed for her so she could reach her fitness goals and eat healthier,” he wrote in the caption of the video.
It tastes just like the real thing! You won’t be able to tell the difference. And with Calvin’s recipe, you can eat four McChickens instead of just one.
Each homemade McChicken is 196 calories, whereas the ones from McDonald’s are 400 calories. So you can save money and stay on track with your diet all at once! His recipe makes six sandwiches. Here’s how you can get started.
- 600 grams of chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of celery powder
