Finally, Eva left the dinner table and headed back to her bedroom. It was at that point that Eva’s boyfriend accused her of being way too harsh on her niece, and the rest of the dinner was pretty awkward.
Eva never returned to the table, and she wound up heading home once the meal ended. And when she got back, her aunt reached out and told her she should apologize to Eva after saying such a mean comment.
However, she stood her ground and claimed she would only apologize if Eva did, too, since she believed Eva’s comments about her eating habits were also hurtful.
Eva has since refused to do that, though, and actually just won’t talk to her until she apologizes. And despite her own mother and brother being on her side, her aunt and uncle are still upset with her.
So now, she’s been left wondering whether calling her niece out for faking a “fit girl lifestyle” on social media was actually a jerky thing to do.
Do you think Eva started it by making comments about her eating habits? At the same time, can you understand how her weight loss might have just made Eva jealous or insecure? Should she apologize, or should Eva? What would you do?
