Nonetheless, they still asked when they could bring her son home. And honestly, she went a different route.
“I asked them if they would take care of registering him for school in their town, and they agreed but were shocked,” she recalled. “My husband and I talked, and we just cannot have him here.”
Her daughter now hates her son, and she is so ashamed of what her son did that he cannot even think about calling him. Plus, while she knows it sounds awful, she honestly does not think her relationship with her son will ever recover from this.
“And maybe this is what he needs. No friends, no family aside from his grandparents, having to start over might just set him right,” she reasoned.
Her parents are willing to keep her son until he turns 18, too.
But still, ever since she kicked her son out, she’s been left wondering if sending him away after what he did was the right thing to do.
Can you imagine how her daughter must feel right now? Is it best for her daughter and son to spend some time apart right now? Even so, is it realistic to think that her relationship with her son will never be repaired? How would you have handled this incident?
