Yet, unfortunately, the whole conversation only went downhill from there. Apparently, Jake became extremely defensive and kept reiterating that it was him in the pictures. Then, he tried calling her out for saying it wasn’t really Jake just because he had gained some weight.
Eventually, their friends also walked back into the restaurant, too, which was around the same time that Jake began to raise his voice at her. Plus, Jake even told everyone that she said he couldn’t land dates because he was “ugly now.”
Finally, once the blowup was finished, Jake just threw some cash on the table before leaving the restaurant. And since that incident, he has refused to talk to her yet has continued telling all of their friends that she called him ugly.
So, she has been seriously struggling to understand what happened and why Jake blew up on her.
“I am starting to feel bad for having said anything. I know he had struggled over the past years, and I feel [terrible] that he believes I think he’s ugly,” she vented.
That’s why she’s now been left wondering whether being honest with Jake about why he hasn’t landed any second dates was the wrong thing to do or not.
