She’s Refusing To Be Her Parent’s Live-In Babysitter After They Found Out They’re Having Another Kid They Clearly Don’t Want

“That is definitely the most appealing option to me, and I’ll be 17 in a couple of weeks, anyway,” she said.

But if you could not have guessed, her parents are really unhappy with her plan. They tried to say that she was going to “miss out on so much” if she chose not to help.

Quite frankly, though, she stuck to her guns and reiterated how she had no plans to raise the baby for them.

“I have my own life, and being stuck with a baby is not part of it,” she vented.

Regardless, her parents accused her of being seriously selfish. They also told her to consider what she would be “throwing away” and claimed she wouldn’t be a good sister if she refused to be in her little sibling’s life.

So now, ever since she put her foot down, she’s been left wondering whether telling her parents she will not be their live-in babysitter or care for their new kid made her a real jerk or not.

Is it her responsibility to take care of her parent’s new baby? Why do you think they expected her to say yes to that? Did she have a right to refuse? Should her parents consider other options if they really don’t want to step up to the plate?
