Her Fiancé Left Her Just Three Weeks Before Their Wedding, And She Only Found Out After She Got Home From Work, Realized He Had Moved Out, And Found A Note

This 26-year-old woman had been with her fiancé, who is 35, for five years. And they were supposed to be getting married very soon.
But, just three weeks before they were set to tie the knot, she returned home to find out that her fiancé had packed up all of his belongings and moved out.
On top of that, he left behind a note claiming that he did not want to get married anymore because they fought very often, and he could not live the rest of his life in a relationship like that.
“I can’t express how my heart dropped walking into the apartment and seeing all his stuff gone,” she recalled.
“My relationship and wedding dreams shattered.”
According to her, she had been waiting for a proposal for three years– and her fiancé had kept dangling it in front of her face.
He would even set timelines and claim he was going to propose within a certain timeframe. But those time periods would come and go, and she would be devastated.
Eventually, though, he obviously got down on one knee and popped the question– which she was thrilled about. Still, it appears that her fiancé was never truly ready to get married to her.
She only found that out after her fiancé moved out and left behind the note.

Right after she returned home that day, her fiancé did initially refuse to meet up with her or provide any explanation for his decision.
However, they did eventually meet up, and she found out that her fiancé had been planning to leave her for the last three months!
He thought that they had some major communication problems and felt like he always had to lie to her in order to keep the peace. Her fiancé also admitted to lying because he just wanted to avoid confrontation.
As for why her fiancé just up and left without so much as a spoken word to her, he claimed that he wanted to leave while she was at work so she wouldn’t try to “convince him to stay” or “change his mind.”
“I also asked him why he proposed in the first place then if he had no intention of going through with the wedding,” she added.
“And he said because he thought in the year and a half long engagement, he thought he could talk himself into marrying me. That he was not prepared to lose me and wanted to keep me happy, but as the date got closer, he realized it was real and couldn’t do it.”
So, her fiancé essentially just “placated” her to get her to stop bringing up the idea of marriage. He apparently didn’t see much wrong with that, either, and claimed that he at least gave her the “experiencing” of planning a wedding.
Anyway, now that their nuptials have been called off, you would think their relationship is over, right? Well, her fiancé doesn’t.
Instead, he actually just wants them to start over and go back to being boyfriend and girlfriend to “see how things go.”
Ever since she heard him out regarding why he called off their ceremony, though, she has just been feeling terrible.
Her fiancé made her feel as if the entire situation was her fault and like their relationship was a lie. Still, she loves him and wishes they could just go back to the beginning before they were ever engaged.
Yet, at the same time, she has no idea how they could survive this as a couple.
“I get a sunk feeling in my chest, and part of me is so angry. But part of me is sad,” she vented.
“What if I hadn’t fought with him so much? What if I had just stayed silent when he’d lie or stayed out? The what-ifs are taking over my head.”
So now, she’s been left wondering how to cope with this heartbreaking situation and move forward.
Can you imagine finding out your wedding was called off like that? How would you feel if you were in her shoes? Do you think their relationship could recover from this or not? Would you stay or leave?
