Over two years ago, TikToker Allie (@alliemoonbeam222) was woken up in the middle of the night by a woman who warned her about her divorce. Allie was still married to her ex, and they owned a house together.
One night, she went to bed, but her spouse didn’t want to sleep yet. So, Allie got ready for her bed by herself. A few hours later, she woke up and saw that the other side of the bed was still empty.
She fell back asleep, but woke up again in a cold sweat. She was a little startled to see a woman in the corner of her room. She didn’t say anything, but she was somehow speaking to Allie anyway. The woman told her that she was about to get a divorce and told her to go downstairs.
Allie grabbed her phone and turned on the flashlight, but the woman disappeared. She decided to head downstairs and see if the woman was right.
Sure enough, Allie found her ex searching for apartments at three in the morning. They told Allie that they wanted a divorce.
About a year later, she experienced a realization that completely changed how she viewed the mysterious ghostly woman who showed up suddenly in the corner of her room. During a meditation session, Allie began seeing the event again in her mind.
“One day, I’m closing my eyes, and I kind of start seeing what had happened, but from her perspective,” said Allie. “I saw me as this woman waking up myself and saying, hey girl, you better go downstairs and figure this out, and I realized that woman was me.”
She believes the woman may have represented a future version of herself or maybe a deeper part of herself she hadn’t been conscious of at the time.
Sometimes, the person trying hardest to get our attention isn’t a spiritual stranger from another world. Instead, it’s the version of ourselves that already knows what we need to see or hear, even when we’re not ready to look or listen.

In the comments section, some TikTok users shared experiences that closely aligned with Allie’s.
“Not crazy at all. I’m so sure that I’m haunting my younger self at night while I run around my childhood home in my dreams. Time isn’t real,” commented one user.
“So cool! I’ve had a similar experience when my ex was cheating on me. It was like a future version of me letting me know the tea,” wrote another.
“I had something kind of similar. I was woken up by a super loud voice in my head, saying, ‘He’s having an affair.’ I opened my eyes and saw nothing. Thought it was weird, even told him about it. Turns out he was indeed. So, thank you, spirit!” exclaimed a third.
