Her Husband Threatened To “Put Her In The Ground” After He Met One Of Her Male Friends From Work

This 28-year-old woman dated her 33-year-old husband for four months before he proposed to her. Then, just two months later, they tied the knot.
So, they have since been married for about a year and a half now. But she admitted that their union has been pretty challenging.
After they first got married, her husband wanted her not to work and to just stay home since he had already earned enough money to support her, their house, and all of their expenses.
She was really opposed to that idea, however, because she knew that she would just be cooped up in the house and would probably go insane.
“I also knew that there would be a lot more pressure on me to maintain the house– specifically cleaning– because I think my husband suffers from undiagnosed OCD,” she explained.
“It’s to the point where if our house isn’t immaculate, and if he finds a small piece of dirt or anything, he will become very angry and start ranting about how the house is ‘becoming filthy’ and I need to clean the entire house again, even if it’s 11:00 p.m.”
That’s why she ultimately turned down her husband’s idea after they tied the knot. And now, she works a part-time job– which has resulted in her husband being less harsh on her.
Nonetheless, he does still expect her to clean the house a minimum of twice each week since she is just working part-time “out of her own free will.”
But just yesterday, after her husband decided to visit her job, there was a much bigger issue than just keeping up with the house cleaning.

It all began after her husband dropped into her workplace, unannounced, as a surprise. And while he was there, one of her male coworkers introduced himself to her husband and claimed that he was her “work husband” in a joking manner.
“I personally thought that it was somewhat inappropriate on his part, especially since I told my coworker that my husband is very adverse to me interacting with other males,” she admitted.
“So I’m not sure if he did that just to start trouble or what.”
Regardless, after her husband heard that, he immediately pulled her away and asked her who the heck that “clown” (her coworker) was. At that point, she tried to explain how the guy was just a coworker with whom she had a friendly relationship.
But her husband did not understand. Instead, he actually just demanded that she leave her job on the spot. Plus, he claimed that if she refused, then she would face “major consequences” later when she got home.
That’s why she wound up leaving work and just told her boss that she had to attend to a family emergency. And thankfully, her boss was understanding, allowed her to leave, and wished her well.
Still, once they got home, the situation was far from over. She and her husband got into a pretty big argument. And during their fight, he said that if she ever started being “flirtatious” with another guy again, then her husband would “put her in the ground.”
“This ended the argument right then and there, and it completely freaked me out,” she recalled.
“I’m still freaked out by it.”
Since then, she has been sleeping in their guest bedroom. She has also avoided any contact with her husband.
At the same time, he has not tried to speak to her at all. But she realizes that her husband has never apologized for anything in the past, anyway.
She tried to confide in her mom about the situation, too. However, her mom just claimed that her husband’s remark was not a big deal. In fact, her mom even said that men make comments like that all the time when they get angry.
“But the way he said it to me, it seemed like he was almost serious,” she vented.
So now, she’s been left wondering what to do and how to move forward from following their argument.
If your partner said that to you, would you also be freaked out? Is her mom right that men “always” say stuff like that, or was her husband’s comment a red flag? How do you suggest she handle this?
