His Friend Ghosted His Girlfriend After Finding Out That She Was Battling Breast Cancer, And He’s Angry At His Friend For Being So Heartless
This 24-year-old guy has a 28-year-old male friend who recently confided in him about a messy situation. And now, he has been unable to speak to his friend ever since he found out what they did.
Apparently, his friend had been talking to a woman for a while. And it just so happened that the woman was already engaged to be wed– which was obviously pretty messed up.
Regardless, his friend and the woman wound up “clicking,” and they really hit it off for a while.
So, his friend later found out that the woman even decided to leave her fiancé to start a new relationship.
“Because of reasons my friend did not clarify,” he said.
After that, things actually started to become serious, and his friend and the woman kept talking for three months.
But, out of the blue, things took a tragic turn. One day, the woman told his friend that she went to get a check-up after encountering some health issues.
“And she found out that she had stage three breast cancer,” he revealed.
Now, his friend was understandably devastated to hear about the woman’s diagnosis. However, the pair still continued talking– even though they were not yet exclusive.

Then, after a while longer, his friend finally decided to make it official with the woman. And for a bit, he explained how the couple actually seemed pretty happy.
Although, it became clear how, at that point, his friend finally started to think hard about their girlfriend’s health issues.
Afterward, his friend wound up approaching him and claimed to have “thought about the situation logically.” Then, his friend actually admitted that they decided to leave their girlfriend.
His friend did not just break up with the woman, though. Instead, his friend actually had the nerve to just ghost her!
“I was so freaking [angry],” he said.
He just thought that was a really jerky thing to do on his friend’s part. After all, he had watched his own sister battle breast cancer.
And even when his sister’s partner left her, he still stayed by her side throughout all of the treatments.
That’s why he thinks that, even if their “fling” did not work out, then his friend could have still stood by the woman and helped her through this challenging time.
Still, at the time that his friend confided in him about everything, he never voiced his opinion or called his friend out for their actions. Instead, he just has not really reached out to his friend ever since.
So now, his friend keeps asking why he’s not talking to them. His friend has also started to claim that they feel terrible for just ghosting the poor woman.
“But, I freaking hate when people justify their [actions] with the ‘I’m logical’ claim,” he vented.
That’s why he’s been left wondering how to deal with his friend and what he should even say to them now.
