Before you RSVP to the wedding invite, you can ask the couple if it would be okay to bring a specific person to show that you’re taking their feelings into consideration.
And when you do RSVP, write down the name of the person you’ll be going with. It helps the couple with the seating arrangements.
There is a chance the couple won’t agree to let you bring the guest you put forth, but at least they will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
So if you don’t end up finding a proper date in time, note on the invite that you’ll be attending alone. And if you do find a date and it falls through, inform the couple as soon as possible that they won’t make it to the wedding.
