“I didn’t hear the rest because I was seeing red,” she recalled.
“My sisters and bridesmaids were shocked. I pretended like she wasn’t talking and continued my conversation with my girls. They did the same.”
When her mother-in-law finished speaking, her husband’s side of the family was very upset with her. Her husband was especially angry, and the rest of the night was awkward since he barely looked at her.
However, she still managed to have fun after focusing on partying with her friends for the rest of the night.
Later, her husband told her she was wrong for refusing to listen to his mom and talking over her speech. He also said she disrespected and humiliated her.
Was she being too disrespectful by ignoring her mother-in-law, or was her mother-in-law being disrespectful for making the speech?
