She Turned Down A Bully’s Desperate Promposal, And A Decade Later, His Friends Are Still Harassing Her Over It

“I bluntly said no and walked away,” she recalled. “I don’t like confrontation or arguments, but I had no intention of sparing his feelings after all he had done, and I was honestly just uncomfortable and wanted to leave.”

The guy pestered her about how she turned him down and called her heartless until she finally left the school. But, considering how he treated her in the past, she was unbothered by his words.

She thought she had heard the end of it for a while, until recently, ten years later, when she ran into one of his old friends in the town she used to live in.

He was working at a business she popped into, and he immediately brought up how depressed she made his friend after turning down the promposal.

He said to this day, the guy was still embarrassed and hadn’t dated anyone since because he was still dealing with the rejection.

The friend continued to berate her and accuse her of being petty until she snapped. She told him about all the creepy things his friend did outside of what he knew, like stalking her until he found out where she lived.

The friend abruptly left without saying anything, but she discovered that the stories she told him spread like wildfire.

Once this guy’s friend group got a hold of the information on his creepy past, they divided. Many of them were angry with him for not telling the truth about his actions, and others were angry at her for “airing out his dirty laundry” so many years later.

She learned that the guy’s parents eventually found out about his past and stalker-like tendencies and are now considering not letting him inherit their small family farm. The news certainly traveled fast, and now she wonders if she shouldn’t have told the truth about him.

“I wonder if I should have just let his friend be mad at me,” she explained.

“I’d probably have never seen him again, anyway. I didn’t know that he would tell anyone as he’d never been one for gossip that I knew of, but I also didn’t expect this to potentially ruin the life of someone I haven’t seen for nearly a decade.”
