“I went to my back door to open it, and I see a man crouching by the back gate, staring at my back door,” she recalled.
“He was next to the side of the gate that we had previously jumped.”
Unsure of what to do, she checked to ensure her dad was still in the front yard as her friend kept an eye on the mysterious man.
Her dad was safe and sound on their front porch, yet she didn’t call out and tell him about the lurker for some reason.
“For whatever reason, I did not tell my dad that this man was in our backyard,” she said. “Instead, me and my friend watched him out there for about twenty minutes. After these twenty minutes, he [moved] across the street and crouched next to a car for 5 minutes.”
Eventually, the man made his way from the car back to her gate. She didn’t want her dogs to stay out there with him, so she turned on the backyard light and opened their dog gate so they could come inside.
After a few more minutes of watching the guy near her gate, he stood up, and she realized he had been holding an object which appeared to be a metal pipe. That’s when she and her friend made sure the back door was locked and finally ran to alert her dad.
Can you imagine seeing something like that as a little kid?
