She Went On A Date With A Guy Who Looked Nothing Like His Photos, And Then He Berated A Waiter, So She Got Up And Left
When your date is rude to a restaurant server or other service worker, they’re showing their true colors.
TikToker Tabitha (@tabithaamae) is telling all about how she left halfway through a date after the guy she was with screamed at their waiter.
About a year ago, she started talking to a guy on Instagram named Jacob. Looking back, Tabitha realized he exhibited a ton of red flags. But he was super tall, a quality that caused her to overlook all of them.
One of his red flags was that he had an odd relationship with his mother. He would always find some way to mention his mom in every conversation they had.
“Say I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I love The Walking Dead.’ He would be like, ‘My mom loves The Walking Dead, too,'” said Tabitha.
He would also go on about how he wanted to find a girlfriend who was exactly like his mom because his mom had the perfect personality, and he couldn’t see himself being with anyone different from her.
At the time, he was 26-years-old and did not live at home. But for some reason, he needed to ask his mom for permission to go out.
When the day of their date rolled around, she checked with him to confirm that their plans were still on.
However, fifteen minutes before they were supposed to meet up, he informed her he had gotten held up at his friend’s house.

After waiting thirty minutes, he texted her to let her know he was heading to the restaurant. He arrived first, so he grabbed a table for the both of them.
When Tabitha walked in and saw him waving her over, she was floored. He looked nothing like his Instagram pictures. The date was immediately off to an awkward and uncomfortable start. Usually, Tabitha is excellent at conversing with people she doesn’t know, but Jacob didn’t seem to want to talk.
Every time Tabitha asked him a question, he would deflect and not give an answer. Eventually, they somehow landed on the topic of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, which was Tabitha’s favorite childhood TV show.
During the conversation, Tabitha brought up that she couldn’t believe the show aired almost fifteen years ago. Jacob cut her off and declared she was wrong. He proceeded to search on his phone how long ago the show’s premiere was.
Then, the server brought their food out. Jacob had ordered a burger, and Tabitha distinctly remembered that he had requested that it be cooked medium.
But when he received the burger, he started berating the waiter for messing up his order and said he had wanted it well-done, not medium. Of course, the waiter apologized profusely. Tabitha chimed in to reassure the waiter, but Jacob looked her straight in the eye and told her to shut up.
After that, Tabitha asked the waiter for the check for her food. While waiting for the waiter to return, she and Jacob sat in silence on their phones. When the waiter came back, Tabitha paid for her meal, got up from the table, and left without saying a word to Jacob. Once she reached home, she blocked his number and has not heard from him since.
