Even though his wife is not a runner, she agrees with him and thinks that her little sister overreacted to his response.
However, his mother-in-law thinks he should have just let his sister-in-law believe that she ran a marathon and let her have that confidence booster.
“Validating her ‘marathon’ would feel similar to lying to a child to boost their confidence. The difference is she is not a child,” he said.
