“She only wanted it back whenever it was convenient for her. It feels really icky for her to walk into my home and demand it back,” she said.
Her sister even had their parents call her up to demand that she give the piece back. She wishes that she had more items to remember her grandfather by, but when her sister went through and donated so many items without much mercy or consideration, all that was left was the artwork he had made.
Even though she doesn’t want to part with the piece that she’s had for so long, she is willing to make a compromise and exchange it for another art piece of her grandfather’s. Then, she could frame that piece and display it in her home, still being able to honor her grandfather and cherish his talented artistry.
“Having shared all this information with my sister and parents, they insist I must return it without anything in exchange or even validating my feelings,” she stated.
