She Confronted A Mom Who Excluded Her Daughter From A Birthday Party, And Then She Got Accused Of Ruining The Party

“I was hesitant at first because I do have strong feelings about inviting yourself to things,” she said.

When she texted Addy’s mom and reminded her that her daughter wasn’t at the last book club, so she wasn’t sure if she was meant to be invited to the party, she got a disappointing response.

Addy’s mom said she booked a spa service to work for the party, and they supposedly had a limit of 10 customers, so she purposefully only invited the girls in the book club and didn’t expect her daughter to find out about the party.

She told Addy’s mom that she understood but that it didn’t feel right to have one girl excluded from a party with everyone else in her class.

She had to talk with her daughter and tell her she couldn’t expect to get invited everywhere, and she tried to make the moment a life lesson.

Later, Sarah’s mom reached out to her and asked how everything went. She sent her a picture of her conversation with Addy’s mom.

Sarah’s mom responded a few days later and eventually said she wouldn’t bring Sarah to Addy’s party.

“She felt it was wrong to not include just one child, and she could see if our kids didn’t get along or had drama, but that wasn’t the case,” she explained.

“They hired someone knowing just one girl would be left out, and she didn’t agree with it. I [got] a text from Addy’s mom a week later that a total of four girls were not attending. She felt I had ruined her daughter’s party and was creating drama.”

She tried explaining to Addy’s mom that she had no bad intentions of ruining the party and only told one mom about their conversation.

Sarah’s mom must have told others who subsequently pulled their daughters out of the party, which was not what she wanted to happen.
