She Divorced Her Husband When He Accused Her Of Cheating Because Their Youngest Daughter Doesn’t Look As Much Like Him And Years Later, He’s Still Treating Their Daughter Differently Despite A DNA Test Proving The Truth

In some more toxic family situations, some kids get treated differently by their parents for petty reasons.
One woman divorced her husband because he accused her of cheating when their youngest daughter didn’t look as much like him. Years later, he’s still been treating their daughter differently.
She’s 45-years-old and divorced her 49-year-old husband ten years ago. They have three kids together, a 17-year-old son and two daughters who are 13 and 12. It took them a while to have their kids when they were married.
“We originally wanted three kids back to back to back, but things didn’t go according to plan,” she explained.
“When I was pregnant with my youngest, Julie, he started getting distant. He always blamed himself for our issues conceiving, even though we never got things tested.”
She got pregnant with Julie surprisingly faster than they thought she would because of how long it took them to get pregnant with their first two kids.
Instead of this being exciting, her husband found it suspicious. Her husband would get angry that Julie didn’t look as much like him as their son did and eventually told her he didn’t think Julie was his, accusing her of cheating on him.
This was around the time their marriage fell apart. No matter how many times she promised her husband she didn’t cheat on him, he refused to believe her.
The final straw was when he demanded a DNA test on Julie. She told her husband that she’d divorce him if he didn’t trust her and still ordered the test.

Her husband still went through with the DNA test. It was confirmed that Julie was his baby, and they got divorced when Julie was 2-years-old.
Over the years, her husband treated Julie differently because of his skepticism. He would have sweet nicknames for their other two children but not Julie. He’s always been more cold towards her. Until now, that is.
Julie is 12, loves to play sports, and excels in soccer. Once her talents started appearing and impressing others, her ex-husband started showing up to Julie’s soccer games and showing her support.
Now, her ex-husband is starting to brag about Julie and her soccer talents to their friends, which he never did before.
“I know he is only interested in her because of her abilities, and it hurts me,” she said.
“I told myself I would play nice because Julie is happy, and that’s the most important thing. Recently on a long tournament trip, it was just me and Julie in the car, and she asked why her dad suddenly started liking her.”
Julie has been aware of her father’s sudden change in behavior and remembers him being more distant from her in the past.
She began asking deep questions like why her dad never treated her the same as her siblings and why they got divorced.
She used to always tell Julie that people sometimes get divorced because they fall out of love, but Julie reacted differently this time around and began to cry.
Now, she’s wondering if Julie is old enough to learn exactly why her dad treats her differently and why they got divorced.
Half her friends and family are saying she should tell Julie the truth, and the other half are telling her not to say anything, especially because she’s finally getting affection from her dad.
“She deserves a dad that loves her and treats her like his other kids, and her finding out the truth may ruin that,” she added.
Should she tell Julie the truth about her dad or leave it be?
