The flights that her girlfriend booked cost a pretty penny. On top of that, she does want her girlfriend to go visit her for the holidays.
“Not because I genuinely want to see her, but because I want my girlfriend to have a good holiday season,” she noted.
Apparently, neither of them has great relationships with their family, and she doesn’t want her girlfriend to be left alone on Christmas– especially after ending a 7-year marriage just a few months before they met and began dating.
Her girlfriend also wasn’t able to afford to visit her on Thanksgiving, which is why the Christmas plan was so exciting.
Still, she honestly just wants to end their relationship, and she isn’t sure what to do since her girlfriend’s flights are already booked, and she would feel bad canceling now.
“I want to remain in my girlfriend’s life as her friend and supporter, but I feel like she should have a romantic relationship with someone else,” she vented.
And now, this sticky situation has left her wondering if it would be better to break up with her girlfriend before Christmas or wait until her girlfriend arrives to end their relationship.
Do you think it would be better for her girlfriend to get broken up with before the trip or after? Would you prefer to lose money on some plane tickets or find out that your relationship is over on Christmas Day? If you were in her shoes, how would you handle this?
