She Threatened To Call The Police On Her Brother-In-Law Because He Started Berating Her When She Was Trying To Take A Shower, But Her Sister Thinks She Went Too Far

This 22-year-old woman currently lives with her parents. Her sister is 33, and her brother is 25. Last year, her sister got married, and even though she hasn’t done anything to upset her brother-in-law, he hates her for some unknown reason.
Right when she met him, he made it blatantly obvious that he despised her, and she never had any idea why. It’s always been a mystery.
While it confused her, she brushed it off and assumed that he just disliked her, and there wasn’t much of an explanation or any logic behind it.
At the beginning of her sister’s relationship, their parents questioned why her then-boyfriend was being mean toward her, but her sister denied that he was being mean. After that, they dropped the subject.
“He intentionally excludes me from everything. Gifts, vacations, fancy dinners. He spoils my family, and I never get included,” she said.
Recently, she’d scheduled a couple of interviews for jobs that were in the town her sister and brother-in-law lived in.
Her sister told her that she could stay at their house for a couple of nights so that she didn’t have to commute back and forth for the interviews.
The first night of her stay went smoothly, but trouble started while she was showering the following morning.
“Suddenly, there was a loud banging on the door, and her husband asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was showering and would be finished soon,” she explained.

“He kept banging on the door and yelling that I should get my stuff and leave. That I’m awfully entitled and bratty and show his home no respect.”
Understandably, this scared her, and she had no idea what she should do. Then, her brother-in-law called her “‘disgusting'” and was furious that she was showering in his bathroom because, according to him, “‘God knows where she’d been.'”
Her sister and brother-in-law’s house had numerous bathrooms, and at the beginning of the incident, she thought he was angry that she was using his bathroom. But later, she realized that he didn’t want her to take a shower in any of the bathrooms in their house.
“After I left the bathroom, dripping wet and shaken, I threatened to call the police on him because of his threatening behavior,” she shared.
“He started yelling even more, and I called my sister, crying (she was at work). She came home and managed to calm the situation.”
Unfortunately, her sister didn’t take her side and told her that she had crossed the line when she told her brother-in-law that she would call the cops on him. Her sister continued, telling her that she was being ridiculous for jumping to the conclusion that her brother-in-law would hurt her in any way.
When her parents learned about the ordeal, they felt the same way as her sister, shaming her for how she reacted to her brother-in-law screaming at her and pounding on the bathroom door.
Numerous times, she attempted to share her side of the story, expressing how terrified she’d been, adding that she was in panic mode.
What would you have done if you were in her shoes?
