He Walked Out On A Date With His Girlfriend After Her Ex Said He Wanted To Have A Drink With Them
This 28-year-old man has been dating his 25-year-old girlfriend for a bit less than three years so far, and she has had several relationships prior to him.
Not too long ago, his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend began sending her messages, and she told him that this was happening.
Now, last weekend, they went out one night for a date, and they booked a table at a restaurant they really liked. They also booked a few cocktail bars to head out to after they were done having dinner.
“The night was going really well until we were at one of the cocktail bars, and her ex walks in,” he explained.
“He comes over to say hi to her and then asks if we want a drink. I say that we’re alright, thanks, and that we’re leaving after the drinks we had anyway.”
“He asks again and says it’s only a drink, and I just repeat what I had already said. My girlfriend says it can’t hurt to have one drink with him, but I remind her it’s supposed to be a date night for us, not time to sit and have drinks with her ex-boyfriend.”
His girlfriend pointed out that she didn’t see an issue with having a drink with her ex, but he maintained that he was going to leave after finishing his drink.
He stated she could leave with him or stay and grab a drink with her ex. His girlfriend chose to leave that bar with him, but then she told him she didn’t want to head over to the next bar on their list.
Instead, she just wanted to go home. She also said he ruined their date, but he doesn’t see how he did this.

“…It was supposed to be our date, not a date with her ex,” he said. “She just repeated that I was wrong for not agreeing to just have one drink with them, but I just said I wasn’t going to sit and be a third wheel on a date with my girlfriend and that it was weird how much she wanted to have a drink with him.”
