Many years ago, when TikToker @hollywoodhillscastle was a child, a celebrity allegedly started a fire in his family home. Until now, he was never able to share the story because his mother had signed an NDA with this celebrity in order to get settlement money and avoid going to trial.
Of course, he didn’t have to sign anything back then because he was just a kid.
“Well, my mom is no longer here,” he said. “I want the story to be told because I think that celebrities should be held truly accountable for their actions.”
In 2008, Kat Von D, a tattoo artist and television personality, wanted to rent out their Hollywood Hills property. So, they rented it out to her, and everything was fine for a while.
One time, TikToker @hollywoodhillscastle was at the house with his parents and got to meet Kat Von D. He thought the way she lived was bizarre.
There were candles of all sizes, placed throughout the house, in every corner. Additionally, he saw taxidermied animal heads mounted on the walls. Unsurprisingly, the house burned down in 2010 due to the numerous candles.
“There was a ginormous fire that took place,” said TikToker @hollywoodhillscastle. “It was negligence, and the arson investigators declared that it was a candle fire. I just want to give context.”
“There were holes throughout the hardwood floors and smoke damage in the entire home. The only reason that it stood was because it’s made from stone.”
His mom passed away from cancer, and his family believes that the stress of the fire, the restoration process, and the lawsuit exacerbated her illness.

According to TikToker @hollywoodhillscastle, Kat Von D reportedly sent hate mail to his mother. He claimed that the celebrity was a liar and a narcissist and was in denial about the situation.
Apparently, she even used the home and claimed it was hers on her TV show. She was not allowed to do that, but TikToker @hollywoodhillscastle’s mom did not have the heart or the strength to pursue any legal action against her for that.
He and his parents believe that Kat Von D had very dark energy at the time, and not many people know her true character. His mom had actually half-finished writing a fiction book about the experience because she wasn’t legally able to mention the celebrity’s name, but she was afraid to release the book because of possible retaliation.
“So, Kat Von D, I am that little kid you met back in the day, who you destroyed the family home of with your negligence and your candle obsession,” he stated.
“Thankfully, my parents won the lawsuit against you, but that didn’t take away the stress that both my parents endured dealing with you.”
