She Developed Feelings For A Female Coworker, And Now She’s Doubting That She Loves Her Husband
For five years now, this 25-year-old woman has been with her 26-year-old husband, and they got married less than a year ago.
She loves her husband with all of her heart, and he’s the kindest soul she knows. She would never intend to hurt him in any way, but she’s worried she’s done that by emotionally cheating on him with one of her female coworkers.
She began her new job five months ago, and she’s become fast friends with all of her coworkers, who are the same age as her.
But she got super close with one girl named Maya, and she was surprised to find out they both have so much in common.
She and Maya love physical activities, they’re both extroverts, they have the same taste in music, and she adores being around Maya.
“She…[has] jokingly flirted with me in the past before I told her I was married, so I know she finds me attractive at least somewhat, but I’ve only realized recently just how attracted I am to her,” she explained.
The first time she met Maya, she acknowledged that she was gorgeous, but she didn’t really think about Maya beyond that; it was just an objective observation.
However, as she’s come to spend more and more time around Maya, she’s grown to develop feelings for her.
Now, she thinks about Maya nonstop, and it’s making her crazy. Over the last several weeks, she’s done her best to put some space between her and Maya, but it’s not working.

Maya has caught on to her distance, and Maya has texted her, asking if she’s alright. She finally caved and started hanging out with Maya again because she truly misses her.
“I don’t think I’ve been acting any different at home as my husband hasn’t noticed/mentioned anything to me, but I do think my feelings for him are changing,” she said.
“I love him and care for him more than words can say, but I’m starting to doubt if I’m still in love. Since I’ve realized just how strongly I feel about Maya, it’s like I can’t look at my husband the same; sometimes it feels like I wish she were there instead.”
“…I don’t want to hurt my husband and ruin my marriage or make things worse, but based on how I’ve been feeling, I don’t trust myself enough to not mess things up.”
