These days, it’s more important than ever to be careful about what you’re posting online. One small, seemingly insignificant detail can tell someone all they need to know about your whereabouts and your life.

TikToker Daniella (@daniella.your.bestie) is talking about how her friend went on a bad date with a guy who stalked her social media page to find out where she lived and then picked her up for their date without her needing to provide her address.

So, she had been talking to a guy on a dating app for about two weeks, and she was excited to finally meet up with him. They ended up going on a date to Nobu, a fancy Japanese restaurant.

He was the prime example of a perfect gentleman. He picked her up for their date, and when they got to their seats at the restaurant, he pulled out her chair for her.

Ten minutes into the date, she was struck by a chilling realization. She had never given the guy her address.

She started racking her brain, trying to recall if she had told him where she lived at one point. However, she couldn’t remember ever telling him her address and began to freak out.

She did her best to ignore the feelings of panic welling up in her chest because she hadn’t been on a nice date in a long time and wanted to enjoy the night.

But as they continued chatting, he kept mentioning details about her life that she had never brought up to him before.

He specifically referred to the college she went to, even though she hadn’t talked about college at all during their brief time knowing each other.

And then, he mentioned something about a restaurant she used to work at when she was 23. At the time of the date, she was 35.

She knew for certain that she had never told him about that, so she asked how he knew she used to work there. He informed her that she had posted about it on her social media.

It was then that she realized he had done a deep dive through her social media account to stalk her. She asked him how he had figured out where she lived.

He said that all he did was take a screenshot of one of her posts, and drop it into the Google Images search bar, and her address popped up in the results.

Upon hearing what he had done, she excused herself to the bathroom and called her mom. Her mom showed up at the restaurant to pick her up, and they left.
