For women, dating often leaves us vulnerable to the actions of men. Danger is always lurking beneath the surface of seemingly harmless encounters, so safety is a top priority.

It’s important to assert boundaries and protect yourself from harm. TikToker @jet_set_gypsea is opening up about how a guy not only ordered all her food without consent but also openly assaulted her while they were out at dinner.

She went on a first date with a guy and waited almost an hour before he showed up. When he arrived, he was shocked that she had been able to get into the restaurant without him being there.

Once they got to their table, he ordered all her food without consulting her about what she liked to eat.

After dinner, they got some drinks. At one point, she stood up to go to the restroom, and he shoved his hand down the front of her top and grabbed her.

When she demanded to know what he was doing, he responded that he thought it would be steamy.

The next day, her boss asked to speak with her in his office about a certain matter. It turned out that the guy had called her boss and requested time off work for her to fly to Italy and meet his parents.

She called to confront him about how he had overstepped his boundaries and to tell him she couldn’t go to Italy because of work.

In response, he told her not to worry about her “little job.”

In the comments section, several TikTok users shared stories about their own dating experiences where men had behaved callously.

“I dated an Irish man once who got drunk on the date, tried to push me into doorways to kiss me, and then assumed he would fly me to meet his parents!” exclaimed one user.

“I went on a date once. I turned up on time. He was sitting, waiting for me. He complained that I took my time, was already absolutely wasted, and proceeded to insult me, calling me fat, etc. So I left. An hour later, he texted me saying he was right and I shouldn’t have taken offense,” commented another.
