“Seeing them interacting just looks wrong, and Mike is more suited to be Mia’s dad, not a future husband. The best way I can describe his behavior is like that of a [gross] dad. Like, he behaves more like a paternity figure with her, but constantly wants her close to him, and a lot of times, he touches her in public inappropriately or makes weird comments, ” she explained.
She elaborated, expressing that how Mike behaved around Mia and the comments he made were not ways most couples would feel comfortable doing in public, especially around family members.
Eventually, she let Mia know that she was rejecting the role of maid of honor and she wouldn’t be attending her wedding. Mia started sobbing and called her an undependable jerk. But she didn’t agree with this accusation because she didn’t disrupt Mia’s wedding planning.
The bridesmaids’ dresses hadn’t been ordered yet because Mia and Mike had only decided on their wedding date a little while ago. Mia’s immediate family sided with Mia, while some of their mutual friends expressed that they related to how uncomfortable she was with Mia and Mike’s relationship.
“Mike has a pretty successful company, doesn’t really worry about money, and is covering the wedding himself. I don’t know if they have a prenup or if he is aware of how rich her parents are, as it is not something Mia shared with me or told me,” she shared.
In her opinion, Mike wants to use Mia as a “trophy wife” since she is so gorgeous, just like all of the other women he’s been with in the past.
She also pointed out how concerning it is that a man who’s almost 50 years old and comfortable dating a woman half his age and having a whirlwind relationship and engagement.
During her talks with Mia about this relationship, it was clear that Mia didn’t view dating Mike as a “rebound” from her breakup with Derek. But she thinks it seems that’s what it is since this is only Mia’s second relationship.
