On a long enough timeline when dating someone, at some point, you want to sit down and have the exclusivity talk.
It’s only natural to want to lock someone down and be exclusive with them, and there are a lot of opinions out there on when the right time to have this talk is.
For this 27-year-old girl, she’s been dating a 29-year-old guy for a bit, and it only took a handful of dates for her to realize she really wanted to be with him.
“After our 4th date, which went really well and ended up being more intimate, I felt like we were on the same page about wanting something more serious,” she explained.
“Given the connection we seemed to share, I brought up the idea of seeing each other exclusively, especially for health reasons, and mentioned that I was ready to delete my dating app.”
“His response caught me completely off guard. He explained that he was under the impression I was also seeing multiple people, as he was actively dating and being intimate with several other women.”
This guy then informed her that he would like to keep seeing her but that he’s also going to be seeing these other girls at the same time.
Apparently, it’s important for him to get to “see where things go” with her and the rest of the girls he’s been dating all along.
She was even more shocked when he revealed this to her, but she kept her composure and declined in the politest way she could muster.
