This call happened when they were apart for their two or three-week stretch, and her boyfriend immediately fell silent on the other end of the line.
She made another joke about how it had to be happening again, and there’s another girl that’s into him.
Her boyfriend said he wasn’t sure before adding that he plays pickleball with Jo practically every single day.
Apparently, Jo texts him a lot to ask when he’s playing so she can join him. She simply said it was nice for her boyfriend to have people he likes to play with, and their conversation ended.
Several days later, she asked her boyfriend in the morning what his plans for the day were, and he went hours without responding to her.
“I was kind of freaked out because he usually at least responds every couple of hours,” she said. “I checked life360 and noticed he was in a parking lot.”
“I didn’t want to assume the worst because sometimes that app isn’t the most accurate. A couple of hours later, I got a text that he was out listening to music and drinking with two friends.”
“I said that sounded like fun and asked who with. “Jo and one of her work friends, but the friend had to leave early.” No big deal as long as nothing is going on— I’m sure she knows he is in a relationship.”
Last weekend, she was supposed to visit her boyfriend, and she was thrilled to be introduced to the new friends he made.
When she got to his house, she was surprised to see he wasn’t home. After her boyfriend finally returned, he asked her if she would like to grab dinner with all of his friends.
She and her boyfriend went to a restaurant with his friends, and when she asked about what girl was Jo, one of her boyfriend’s friends said Jo was not interested in coming after she found out that he wasn’t single.
