“During their stay, my husband would watch over them too, and sometimes he would jokingly say that I was “like their mom” and I would “be a great mother in the future,” which I laughed off because I saw it as a joke,” she explained.
“But I noticed the “jokes” occurring even after my nieces left, so last week, I had a talk with him.”
She outright asked her husband what was behind his jokes, and he admitted that he wants to have kids now.
She said no, and her husband insisted she would be a great mom. She counted by stating she does not want kids, and he told her the same thing in the past.
Her husband responded that watching her interact with her nieces was what led him to change his mind about kids.
“I kept rejecting all his pleas, so he said I was selfish and having a kid wouldn’t kill me,” she continued.
“This shocked me and is actually making me rethink our whole marriage. He’s currently living with his brother and hasn’t spoken to me in a week.”
“Should I just suck it up and have a kid, or would this lead to a divorce?”
