Still, April refused to let their break up go and continued calling him about once a month throughout his sophomore year of college.
By that point, he felt completely “indifferent” toward his ex and considered just answering the phone to get her off his back.
But before he ever did that, he just learned how to block people’s numbers and decided to block April once and for all instead.
After that, he thought he’d never hear from her again. Yet, just a few days ago, they surprisingly matched with each other on Hinge.
While texting over the dating app, he finally told April why he ghosted her all those years ago.
However, she didn’t show any remorse for the cheating. Rather, she accused him of being a jerk for “stringing her along” and causing her to “cry every night for a year.” She even claimed that he wasted years of her life.
“But honestly, I don’t really feel sorry at all,” he vented.
Nonetheless, he’s still not entirely sure if ghosting his girlfriend without a trace was the best way to handle that situation.
Do you think his girlfriend deserved to get ghosted for cheating, or should he have spoken to her for closure? What would you have done?
