This 29-year-old woman and her best friend Jane, who is 28, have been inseparable ever since they met in college.

“We’ve been through thick and thin, and I always envisioned her standing by my side as my maid of honor when I got married,” she said.

Just last month, she and her 31-year-old fiancé finally tied the knot, too. Yet, while Jane was actually really supportive throughout the chaotic wedding planning process, her friend still ended up ruining her big day.

It all began on the day of her nuptials. The ceremony went smoothly, but things started to fall apart at the reception.

First, Jane showed up late, and while she was frustrated by that, she let it go since she didn’t want to cause any drama.

But, when she saw her friend’s outfit, she was completely shell-shocked – because Jane was actually wearing a white dress.

“Not an off-white, cream, or champagne dress – bright white, almost identical to mine but even more extravagant. The dress was floor-length, covered in sequins, and had a train. I was stunned,” she recalled.

This obviously made Jane stand out from the crowd, and the rest of her guests started whispering about her friend’s dress. Even her own family looked visibly uncomfortable.

So, she tried pulling Jane aside and asking what she was thinking wearing a dress like that. Yet, her friend just brushed her off, told her to “relax,” and claimed it was not a big deal since it was “just a dress.”

Her now-husband saw how upset she was, though, and tried asking Jane to change into a different outfit. Nonetheless, her friend actually refused and said she had nothing else to wear.

Still, the situation only got worse when Jane stood up and started to make a “toast” that felt more like a roast.

Her friend apparently talked about their wild college days and kept making “jokes” that were more humiliating than funny.

“It felt like she was trying to make the day about her. And the final straw was when she tried to cut in during our first dance, saying she wanted to ‘spice things up,'” she revealed.

At that point, she was over Jane’s antics and told her friend to get out of her wedding. This pushed Jane to cause a huge scene – screaming at her for being “overdramatic” and ruining their friendship over something super “trivial.”

Then, Jane stormed out, and thankfully, the rest of the wedding went off without a hitch – or any drama.

However, following her wedding, she started receiving angry messages from her and Jane’s mutual friends, accusing her of overreacting and “devastating” Jane by not being more understanding.

“My husband and family are on my side, but I can’t shake the feeling that I might have been too harsh,” she vented.

So now, she’s been left wondering if kicking her best friend out of her wedding for trying to steal the spotlight was justified or a jerky move.

How would you feel if your best friend behaved like that on your wedding day? Did she have a right to kick Jane out?
