When TikToker Liv (@discover.youniverse) was around 12 years old, she went to a football game with a close friend, her two parents, and her younger sister, who was around four years old at the time.
Of course, Liv and her friend wanted to sit at the top of the bleachers. Her friend’s family followed them up. The bleachers were about two stories tall, and they snagged seats about five rows from the very top. They were also the type of bleachers that didn’t have a bottom underneath the seats.
“When you looked underneath the seat in front of you or under your own seat, there was no bottom to it,” explained Liv. “So, all you saw was the grass or the stone that was directly underneath your feet.”
At one point, the crowd jumped up on their seats to cheer for their team. But before Liv could stand up, everything seemed to get very muffled and quiet. It was as if someone had put their hands over her ears. The crowd’s screaming and cheering sounded like it was far off in the distance.
As she sat there, trying to gather her thoughts, she noticed a man standing about 12 to 15 feet away. He was wearing a black suit and was just staring at her.
He didn’t look like he was of this world. Liv was super freaked out by him.
Suddenly, his eyes flitted over to Liv’s friend’s four-year-old sister, who was standing on the bleachers in front of her. Liv’s eyes followed his. She looked at the girl and then back at the man.
They locked eyes, and he looked at the bleacher underneath her. When Liv looked back toward him, he was gone, and all the surrounding sounds came rushing back to her.
People started calming down and taking their seats again, including her friend’s little sister. Since she was so small, she ended up falling through the opening approximately two stories up. It all happened so fast.

Liv immediately dropped to her knees, reached her arm down under the bleachers, and grabbed the girl by the ankle before she fell headfirst onto the pavement.
The girl dangled in midair, still holding onto her popcorn, while Liv yelled for help. She was afraid to move because she didn’t want to drop the girl.
Everyone nearby also dropped to their knees and helped pull her up.
“I never told them the rest of the story, and they probably just thought I have fast reflexes,” said Liv.
“But there’s no way I would have been able to save her had it not been for that man, and there’s just so many things about the universe and even ourselves that we just don’t understand.”
