I know we talk a lot about some horrific dates, but Steph (@stephfromjersey on TikTok) has a friend who recently went out with an absolute unicorn of a man.
This guy was magical, he was kind, and he’s the kind of guy I think every girl dreams of marrying because he is that considerate and gentlemanly.
So Steph’s friend took the day off from work to escape the swealteringly unusual heat of New York City the other day. Steph’s friend went down to the Jersey Shore, and she was drinking all day long and having a wonderful time.
Steph’s friend then matched with a guy on a dating app who lives in Jersey City, and he asked her out on a date that night. Steph’s friend said yes, and she was still a bit drunk.
She climbed into an Uber and took a ride back from the Jersey Shore to Jersey City, which is about an hour to an hour and a half long.
Steph’s friend was feeling funky, but she chalked it up to dehydration. She arrived at the bar where she was supposed to meet the guy, and everything was off to a wonderful start.
Suddenly, she felt really sick, and the guy asked if she was alright, but she was not, so she started hurrying to the bathroom.
“Before she gets to the restroom, she throws up all over herself. In front of the restaurant, on herself, in front of him,” Steph explained in her video.
“What does this man do? He’s a gentleman, ok? He comes, he helps her clean up, he puts her in an Uber, he takes her back to his place, he gives her a change of clothes, he gives her a bucket, he puts her clothes in his wash to clean them, and she sits with her on the couch as she pukes all night.”

“And then she drifts off to sleep. She…slept on the couch, and he slept in his bed. She woke up the next morning, she was like, oh my God, that’s so embarrassing, I’m so sorry. What does this man do? He goes, no problem.”
The guy invited Steph’s friend out again for the night so they could go on a redemption date!!!
Steph says that if she ever threw up on herself on a first date, she’s convinced she would never hear from that man ever again, so she’s floored that her friend got asked out again.
“So when is the wedding??” one person wondered in the comments.
“I had something similar happen to me and got ghosted the next day LOL,” someone else said.
“It hurts to see and hear about other people living MY DREAM, but so happy for her!!” a third person exclaimed.
