Recently, TikToker Dee’s (@yr_idiosyncrasy) doorbell camera has been acting up. The other night, she went out of town, and her husband reported that it was randomly taking snapshots and detecting motion when nothing was there. He went outside to check it out, but didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
He figured that the battery was running low, so he brought the doorbell camera inside. Then, he started hearing weird noises upstairs.
They have two sliding glass doors upstairs, and it sounded like someone was trying to open the door, but it was stuck. This happened twice. He went upstairs, but no one was there.
He also heard a scuffling noise on the deck. The only way to get on the deck was through the house because the deck didn’t have any stairs. He didn’t sleep very well that night.
Then, after Dee returned home, she heard a clicking sound coming from the doorbell camera at 3:30 in the morning. It was in their bedroom and was slightly pointed toward the bed on Dee’s side, but the bed wasn’t really in view.
The camera was taking pictures and video because it was detecting motion, even though they weren’t moving at all.
They went back to sleep, assuming that it was just a glitch. The next day, Dee went to work and came home at around 3 p.m. That was when she noticed something strange in the bathroom.
“I go into my bathroom, and I notice that in my toilet, is a bunch of toilet paper that is like perfectly folded into squares, some of which have been used,” said Dee.
Her husband left the house after her, so she called him and asked if the toilet had gotten backed up. He said that he hadn’t used the bathroom since five in the morning, which was way before she last used the bathroom.

The toilet paper was perfectly folded around the bowl. She tried flushing it, and it flushed just fine. She then went into the bedroom to get her dog.
She noticed that the sliding glass door in the bedroom was slightly ajar. The door was locked, but it was partially open. Clearly, someone had been in the house, but nothing was missing.
Many TikTok users shared their own spooky experiences in the comments section.
“My cousin came home early one day and found a man looking in her refrigerator. He had made a home in her attic. She had been listening to him move around up there for weeks, but her parents kept telling her it was a squirrel or something,” wrote one user.
“I’ve once folded up piles of unused toilet paper, but I was sleepwalking and didn’t leave it in the bathroom,” commented another.
“It’s about 10:30 at night, and I’m lying in bed in the dark, scrolling and listening to your story, and all of a sudden, my TV turns on! I roll over and look at my husband…The remote is in the bedside drawer on my side of the bed!!” exclaimed a third.
