If you’ve ever feared in-law chaos, just wait until you hear about how this mother-in-law became the villain of a love story. TikToker Rosie (@rosiegrace521) is sharing about her monster of a mother-in-law.

She grew up with the guy who would become her husband, so both of their families knew each other. They all got along well until he wanted to marry Rosie. It was as if a switch had flipped in his mother.

Every time Rosie visited her, the first question she asked was when Rosie would be leaving and going back to Utah since they were in a long-distance relationship at the time.

Rosie never felt welcome at her mother-in-law’s house, and they just didn’t get along.

When Rosie and her husband wanted to get married, they sat down to dinner to talk about it, and her mother-in-law took it as an opportunity to attack Rosie and tear their relationship to shreds.

She told Rosie that she was ruining her son’s life because she was forcing him to move across the country and not go to graduate school right away, just to marry her. She tried to convince him that the relationship wasn’t worth it.

Rosie spoke up to defend herself and told her mother-in-law that their future children would have no place in her life if her behavior did not improve, which caused her to throw a fit.

A couple of days later, her husband’s grandma asked them to stop by and proceeded to lecture Rosie about how rude and disrespectful she was. When Rosie got up to leave, his grandma pushed her back down into the chair and told her to shut her mouth.

Months later, Rosie tried reconciling with his grandma and invited her to have coffee. His grandma showed up and told her that she would not apologize and that once again, she needed to shut up and listen.

Eventually, it got to the point where she needed to set boundaries with his family for their wedding. At their reception, her mother-in-law was detained on the property and had to be escorted out by the cops for making a scene, along with other family members.

After everyone got kicked out, they sent threatening messages to Rosie and her husband. They spent half the night crying, and she even got wasted after the reception because she didn’t want to remember any of it. Later, her husband confronted his mother about her behavior. He hasn’t spoken to her since then.

“Um, where was your husband? He should have screamed and [gotten] in his mom’s face for you,” one person commented on her video.

“We hired plainclothes police officers to keep my MIL and their family away from our ceremony. There is always a way,” someone else said.

“What is up with most mother-in-laws? This is ridiculous. I’m so sorry you dealt with that. I also have a horrible MIL who tried to ruin my wedding and got mad when I didn’t let her stay in the bridal suite with my friends and [me] after her hair was done. Sorry, I wanted to be surrounded by people who actually love me. Not people who make me feel awful. She broke boundaries and was miserable the whole wedding lmao. I didn’t even want her there or want her getting her hair done with us, but I had to compromise bc it’s still my husband’s mom. I’ve blocked her since this happened after she sent me a nasty text message blaming everything on me and saying how mean I was to her…mind you, all I said to her post-wedding was how I didn’t like how she purposely ignored boundaries we set and how she tried to make the day about her. She’s hated me since day 1 for no reason. She’s now blocked, and I won’t have a relationship with her,” a third person remarked.
