If a guy promises to give you the cash later, you can go ahead and consider that money already gone. TikToker Julia (@vegandemonn) is warning women not to trust a man who says that he’ll pay you back and give you cash after she got burned by a guy she went out with.

It all started during peak pandemic times, when the world was thrown into chaos, and everything was unpredictable. She began talking to a guy who seemed sweet enough.

At one point, he was bragging about his fancy car. Normally, men who flex their vehicles are a red flag to Julia—she doesn’t like obnoxious show-offs. But he offered to let her use it for a photo shoot with her friends. That got her thinking maybe he was different.

Their first outing was supposed to be dinner, but everything was closed due to COVID restrictions. So, they settled for picking up sushi.

He mentioned that he didn’t have his credit card with him, but it was okay because he swore he’d pay her back and showed her the cash.

Of course, Julia had to pay for it. And to his credit, he immediately handed her the money and gave her the correct amount.

After eating, they still wanted to keep hanging out, but she didn’t want to go to his place, and she definitely didn’t want him coming to hers. They decided to go to a hotel instead.

Once again, he promised her that he would pay her back for the cost of the hotel room. Spoiler alert: he did not pay her back. While they were hanging out, he somehow lost his wallet but kept assuring her that he would pay her back.

“For a good month, this guy is trying to chase me and see me again, but hasn’t paid me back,” said Julia, noting that he avoided every mention of the money he owed.

“Then, a month later, this dude was like, I can’t believe you thought I was broke.”

To prove he wasn’t broke, he proceeded to send her a screenshot of his crypto wallet, which contained $300. Clearly, he thought this was the ultimate flex.

She was stunned, but not in the way he had intended. She thought it was ridiculous of him to brag about a mere $300 after everything he put her through.

Julia may have learned the hard way, but she’ll never make the same mistake again.

There’s a special place in the dating underworld reserved for men who are that cheap and who don’t follow through on their promises.

So, if you ever come across a man who can’t pay for himself, run fast and far away to ensure that you don’t waste your hard-earned money.
